My Teaching Philosophy
I graduated from the Crane School of Music with my bachelor's degree in Music Education with concentrations in voice, general honors, and special music education as well as a completion of a performance certificate in voice. My goal as a music educator is to create a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all students to learn and grow. As an educator I believe it is my job to encourage students to engage in creativity and feel confident doing so. Music connects everyone together. I enjoy not only teaching musicianship and performance skills, but teaching how to appreciate music. My classroom is a safe space for all students to share, connect, and inspire each other through music. With my special education background, I have experience teaching diverse learners which not only helps me teach in self-contained classrooms, but in my general music classes as well. All students learn differently, and I enjoy crafting my lessons knowing how my students learn best. Music education is my passion and I love having the opportunity to inspire my students to share and grow as musicians and people!
